a little date

bennett and i went out the other night

on what ended up being one of the best dates ever.

we started out at the park and the weather was perfect.

i took pictures for my photo class

and bennett read

and then we talked about our future together

and got butterflies in our stomachs.

then we went to bobby's dairy dip and had the BEST hamburgers

and fried pickles

and fries

and sodas

and dipped ice cream cones

and then we went and played putt putt golf

(bennett won. by a lot.)

and i saw a lady with a baby who was eight days old.

eight.

and i almost cried because he was so precious.

we ended the night at the holland house

with stephanie the great

and we all drank weekender punch and wanted more

(but our wallets wouldn't allow it)

whew.

it was quite a good night.

spring is in the air...

...so all i want to do is buy clothes.

only 2 more months until the best day of my life.

I AM FREAKING OUT!

wedding invitations!

as soon as bennett and i started planning our wedding

we knew that we wanted almost everything handmade

as far as paper goods, decorations, etc.

so when it came time to make our invitations

there was no question as to whether i would make them or not.

i spent hours drawing out the invites and we are thrilled with the outcome!

we just feel that they are so personal and so us.

i never want to leave

tomorrow is our last day in hilton head

and none of us want to leave.

this vacation came at the perfect time for me.

i was at the end of my rope with school

and wedding planning

and everything else.

this week gave me the refueling i need

to go back to nashville

finish my last semester of classes

and do everything i need to do

to make our wedding exactly how we want it to be.

here's to the next 74 days of chaos.

i have an obsession

...with babies.

while most people spend their time

looking up videos of kittens

or puppies

i look up videos of babies

laughing

playing

blinking

doing just about everything

because i love babies more than just about anything.

like i said before,

i'm spending this week in hilton head

aka heaven.

bennett's camping with his groomsmen for his bachelor party

so me, ellen, stephanie, and her boyfriend billy all came here.

the family i nanny for was so generous

and they are letting us stay in their beach house

(which is probably the most gorgeous house i've ever been in besides the biltmore)

and now we never want to leave.

for the next 5 days...

i will be living here.

on the beach.

in hilton head.

doing absolutely nothing.

ohmygoodness.

my bennett is sick

and pitiful

and it makes me so very sad

and somehow he's still so cute

despite a fever and bad cough...
